Just north of the town of San Teodoro is one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia: the beach of La Cinta. It's a wide strip of sand nearly 4 km long, characterized by fine white sand and clear waters.
Beyond the beach is an area of dunes on which have grown juniper trees, rosemary, cistus and mastic, over the dunes, instead, is the pond of San Teodoro, a marshland that is home to numerous species of waterfowl. |

The pond is one of the most important of the island, inside is established a colony of pink flamingos, from the beach of La Cinta you can walk along the banks.
TO SEE IN THE AREA:
San Teodoro. Village of ancient origin, is a pleasant town situated on the plain, a few hundred meters from shore. Many others are the beaches of the area: Isuledda, Brandinchi, Lu Impostu, the promontory of Capo Coda Cavallo, etc..
Museo delle Civiltà del Mare I.C.I.MAR (Museum of Civilization of the Sea) San Teodoro (Archaeological Museum and Aquarium). It is located near the beach of La Cinta, in the hamlet of Niulòni, the museum houses archaeological finds of prehistoric, Phoenician, Punic, Roman, medieval and post-medieval periods. Inside the museum is also an interesting aquarium, consists of eight tanks. The museum entrance is free and is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.
